Lattice Lodge

Built in 1908, Lattice Lodge was originally a doctors’ surgery and residence. Today it provides 9 comfortable guest rooms, equipped with all modern comforts.

The lodge aims to minimise its impact upon the environment and to support the local economy. Therefore, it sources all products and services locally and ethically, where possible. It is also working to reduce waste through careful purchasing, recycling, composting, and trying to avoid disposable goods. However, the lodge will never compromise on quality, and will also ensure that choices made don't impact upon your pocket.

The lodge offers a range of single, twin and double rooms, and one family room, all of which are en suite.

Some rooms are found on the ground floor, making them ideal for those with limited mobility. One has been purpose built for wheelchair users.

Small ironing boards are available in each room and an iron can be provided upon request.

The kitchen uses the freshest local produce. As such, the menu changes with the season.

For those visiting on business, the lodge is well situated for both the town centre and BT at Adastral Park and Bibb Way. The 66 bus route is just a short walk away, providing links with the rest of the town.

If you are bringing your car, you can reach:
- London, Cambridge and Norwich in one hour
- Trinity Park (Suffolk Showground) in 10 minutes
- A12 north in 10 minutes, for the Suffolk Coast and Constable Country

By Car:
From London A12:
- When arriving at the outskirts of Ipswich, take the first slip road at 'Toys R Us'.
- Follow signs for Ipswich Town Centre.
- At the Civic Drive roundabout (you will see the Wolsey Theatre ahead of you), turn left.
- At the next roundabout, turn right.
- Continue past the bus station on your right and then the Milestone pub on your left.
- As the road bears left and goes uphill it becomes Woodbridge Road.
- Follow the road up the hill (staying in the left-hand lane) and continue straight over the first mini-roundabout.
- On the approach to the second mini-roundabout (Barclays Bank opposite), move into the left-hand lane and the Lodge entrance is on the left of the roundabout.

From Norwich/Midlands:
- Take the first slip road signposted to Ipswich.
- Continue past Asda, heading for the Town Centre.
- Go straight on at all roundabouts, past the bus station on your right and then the Milestone pub on your left.
- Then, as above.

By Bus:
From the Train Station:
Take Route 66 bus line and ask for the Golden Key stop on Woodbridge Road - it is less than a 10 minute journey. Head towards the Barclays Bank and Lattice Lodge is on your left.

After booking, you must contact Lattice Lodge if you plan to arrive outside of the stated check-in times. If you do not do this, Lattice Lodge may charge an additional cost.

Lattice Lodge accepts payment by cash, cheque (supported by valid cheque guarantee card), BACS transfer (in advance) and debit card.

Check-in times are between 11:00 and 12:00, and from 17:00 to 21:00. Please contact Lattice Lodge after booking if you require a different time. Arrivals after 21:00 may be subject to an additional charge.

Please note that when booking the family room, if the third person is 16 or over, they will be charged as an adult.

Synthetic pillows and bedding is available, please request when booking.
